Sports events are often full of fun and passion. Taymax Group brought its passion for fitness to several hockey games in Canada. The franchise group established partnerships with multiple national and regional hockey teams across the country. As part of the partnerships, Taymax was able to do in-game activations, which were incredibly helpful to engage with the local community.

Taymax staff hosted a Planet Fitness^® table at the games of the Ottawa Senators, Barrie Colts, Sudbury Wolves and Oshawa Generals. At each game, they handed out branded swag, collected raffle entries for a PF^® membership and shared with attendees the benefits of a PF membership. The games were a great way to bring sports and fitness lovers together to reach potential members in the Canadian market.

Local youth in Alabama are getting the chance to strengthen their health and fitness thanks to the generosity of Taymax Group. In November, Taymax’s Huntsville and Madison, Alabama, clubs donated some of their fitness equipment to the Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama in Huntsville.

The franchise group’s Huntsville club donated an array of fitness equipment that will help the local youth become stronger, including two dumbbell racks, one beauty bell rack, four adjustable benches, one flat bench, one ab crunch bench, one target abs bench and one ab coaster. Taymax’s Madison club donated one recumbent bike, one upright bike, one rower and one elliptical. The fitness equipment was put in the Frank J. Williams Center, which the Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama built to boost digital learning, workforce readiness and STEM innovation amongst the youth they serve. The center had its grand opening event on Dec. 9, and Madison County general manager Roquel Williams and Area Director of North Alabama Peter McDaniel attended.

“It was a great pleasure to share this time with local dignitaries like Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and Frank J. Williams, whom the facility is named after. The new facility will offer updated STEM labs, robotics teams, tutoring, mentoring and leadership programs, as well as a new fitness facility that houses our donated equipment. Huntsville clubs look forward to a continued relationship with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama,” said McDaniel.

Every year, Planet Fitness^® franchisees work hard to give back to their partners, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Taymax Group was recognized by the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem for its notable commitment to giving back and supporting youth in the area through steady partnership and philanthropy.

During the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem’s 2025 Annual Awards Celebration on Nov. 13, the organization presented Taymax Group with the Be Great Award. Every year, the organization has an awards celebration to recognize businesses and community members for their outstanding service, dedication and commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Taymax Group was honored to be recognized, and it only solidified the partnership between the two groups. This acknowledgement served as a strong reminder of how businesses and nonprofit organizations work hand in hand in making a meaningful impact on their communities.
