Baseline Fitness Scores Goals with Local Soccer Fans

Sports partnerships can be a great way for Planet Fitness® franchisees to connect with fitness- and sports-minded people. Through Baseline Fitness’s partnership with the Minnesota United Football Club, the franchise group’s team was able to participate in two Lawn Layover Activations at their games in Allianz Field in St Paul, Minnesota – one on May 10 and the other on Aug. 16.

The Lawn Layover kicks off all Minnesota United home games by entertaining fans with engaging partner activations, music, food trucks and more. At the events, the Baseline Fitness team was able to connect with fans before the game started, giving them PF®-branded swag to remember them by. This was a great way for the Baseline Fitness team to interact with prospective and current PF members, as the group has 34 clubs in the Minneapolis market.

“The experience was a kick of energy and fun with tons of love for PF. We were welcomed by many of our own members excited to see us,” said District Manager at Baseline Fitness Josh Grochowski.

Baseline Fitness Team ‘Aligns & Unwinds’ with Local Community Members

The Edina Chamber of Commerce welcomed Baseline Fitness to its Align & Unwind event in Minnesota this past summer. The Align & Unwind event was a women’s wellness event created to help attendees relax and reset. The day included a restorative yoga session and guided meditation led by a certified YogaFit instructor. Attendees got the chance to hear from a local chiropractor about the importance of movement, alignment and mindfulness, while also enjoying light bites and refreshments.

Two Baseline Fitness staff members networked with attendees at the Align & Unwind event, a women’s wellness event in Edina, Minnesota.

The Baseline Fitness team in Edina set up a table at the event, networking with attendees and sharing the benefits of having a Planet Fitness® membership. There were eight other vendors at the event, including Extract Juicery, Lymph Lounge, Coccinella, The Drip Bar Edina, Curate Skin Studio Lab and more. The event was a great way for the Edina Planet Fitness team members to engage with local community members, sharing the benefits of being a PF® member and prioritizing one’s fitness.

“We were thrilled to have local businesses like Planet Fitness participate in this special event where we encouraged female leaders in our community to make time for self-care,” said Shelly Loberg, president of the Edina Chamber of Commerce.

UFP Celebrates Scott McCreery’s Hard Work with Promotion

Those who work in operations at Planet Fitness® are the ones who keep the clubs functioning to their highest potential. There are many moving pieces that make up running a Planet Fitness club smoothly, so the role requires a hard-working, skilled individual.

Around seven years ago, Scott McCreery started working at United Fitness Partners as the regional director of operations. Previously, he had worked at Starbucks for over 24 years, working in various operational roles for the company. He was able to apply his operations expertise from Starbucks to the fitness world at Planet Fitness.

His hard-working nature was quickly noticed by his colleagues, and over his tenure, he has been promoted multiple times to various roles, including ops services director, senior director field operations & ops services, and vice president of operations. Over the summer, he reached another milestone in his career with UFP – he was promoted to chief operating officer. In his newest role, he will continue to drive results, foster cross-functional collaboration, and create positive impact for UFP’s members and teammates.

“Scott possesses an extraordinary talent for driving business performance through our company’s values and culture. This fosters a team that is engaged and committed to delivering exceptional member experiences. Together, as a team and company, we are stronger and more successful because of Scott’s contributions,” said Cullen Barbato, CEO of United Fitness Partners.
