After a two-year hiatus due to COVID restrictions and health safety concerns, Planet Fitness® Detroit Co-Op brought back its Detroit Fitness Challenge April 30. The fitness challenge included Planet Fitness’ brand ambassadors from five of Audacy’s radio stations in Detroit, who on the day of the challenge completed a 60-minute total strength and cardio workout. When they completed the indoor triathlon, EPIC Fitness presented the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Michigan with a $10,000 donation.

Four years ago, Jost ADK opened a Planet Fitness® location in downtown Denver. After opening, the group witnessed the increase in homelessness in downtown Denver and wanted to give back to the local community.
To lend a helping hand to those in need, Jost ADK has partnered with the Denver Rescue Mission (DRM), an organization that improves the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through rehabilitation, transitional programs, emergency services and community outreach, for the past four years.
Read More›In March and April, Houston Fitness Partners opened four new locations in the Houston area. The four locations included the Katy Fry, Spring, Greater Heights and Crosby clubs, all located in or around Houston.
The new locations range in size from 18,000 to 25,000 square feet. The Katy Fry and Crosby clubs were originally Kroger supermarkets. The Spring club was previously a Gordman’s shopping center, while the Greater Heights club had housed a Family Thrift. On April 13, the group celebrated the new locations with grand-opening parties that offered giveaways, food trucks, DJs and ribbon cuttings.
