Baseline Fitness Supports Their Local Boys & Girls Clubs

The Baseline Fitness group has been involved with its local chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for years. Though the group is spread out across seven states, it works to create a community feel in each area where it operates.

In Fargo, North Dakota, where their main headquarters office is located, the team has built a special relationship with the local Boys & Girls Clubs of the Red River Valley. They have done weekly volunteering for the afterschool program, and most recently, they took part in activities planned for the National Boys & Girls Clubs of America Week and the Night to Unite event.

Director of Learning and Development for Baseline Fitness Emily Dobmeier is in frequent communication with the resource and development director of the Boys & Girls Club in Fargo. Together, they coordinate upcoming events – and organize the volunteers! Baseline Fitness has nearby clubs that enjoy sending their team members out to participate in volunteer events, and they also have members of their office support teams who very much enjoy being involved in the community.

One activity during the BGCA week was called the Health and Wellness Event, and it included an obstacle course and spending the afternoon with different groups of children. Dobmeier explained that Baseline Fitness was able to participate at five different locations, where they helped cheer the children on as they tackled the various obstacle courses.

The Night to Unite event involved interacting with children and their families while participating in fun fitness activities such as hula-hooping, jump-roping and tricycle races – among other games!

“We have found value in serving our community,” said Dobmeier. “All the team members who have volunteered have enjoyed their time and look forward to more opportunities to give back in the future.”
