This summer, PLNTF Holdings LLC, which is managed by CEO Russ Preite and his executive team, celebrated the opening of its 83rd Planet Fitness^® club in Ashburn, Virginia. The team is thrilled to bring a Judgement Free Zone^® to the up-and-coming Ashburn community.  

In lieu of Pizza Monday and Bagel Tuesday at Planet Fitness^®, PF Michigan Group (PFMG), owned by Bryan Rief and Pete Hopkins, is making donations to local food banks. In the wake of the pandemic, unemployment numbers rose, increasing the demand for necessities at food banks across the country.

In August, Baseline Fitness, owned by franchisee Scott Majkrzak, wanted to find a way to keep its team members healthy and engaged. The Baseline Support Team, which was recently created to help support Planet Fitness^® team members facing financial hardships, introduced the “Virtual 5K Your Way” as its latest fundraiser. 

On Sept. 15, the Global Wellness Summit (GWS), the foremost gathering of international leaders in the multitrillion-dollar global wellness economy, announced the appointment of C. Victor Brick, CEO of Planet Fitness Growth Partners (PFGP) and chairman of the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation, to its 12-person advisory board. Brick brings over 35 years of success in the fitness industry and a long-standing personal commitment to promoting the integration of wellness modalities into the treatment of mental health issues to the GWS Advisory Board.

Because of its longstanding relationship with Taymax Group, the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio (BGCA) knew Planet Fitness^® was its go-to partner for help following the reopening of the clubs after closures due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, water fountains in the clubs were designated as water bottle refill stations only. Many of the youth in the San Antonio locations, however, returned without reusable containers, creating a concern for the Boys & Girls Clubs about how the children would stay hydrated. Without hesitation, Taymax Group volunteered to assist in providing water bottles for the youth.
