Each year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands hosts its Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning. The race is one of the largest annual events raising money for programs put on by the Boys & Girls Clubs, which serve 11,200 youth in South Carolina.

In its inaugural year, the Teen Summer Challenge saw more than 900,000 kids sign up for the program and complete over 5 million workouts. In Virginia alone, more than 19,000 teens completed over 102,000 workouts this summer. All teens who signed up for the Teen Summer Challenge were automatically entered into Planet Fitness’ Scholarship Sweepstakes. In the United States, 51 lucky teens across all 50 states were randomly selected to receive a $500 scholarship.

This completed the second part of a two-phase remodel that began last year in the Black Card ® area. The modernized and upgraded location has new wall coverings, tile walkways and renovated locker rooms. The front desk and break room were also refurbished.
Read More›On his way to an important race at Dover International Speedway, NASCAR driver Joey Logano made a pit stop at two Planet Fitness® locations to help celebrate their grand openings. He visited the PF® clubs in Seaford, Delaware, and Etters, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 3. Logano is the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series champion and has won two more races in 2019.
