CORE Celebrates 20th Washington Planet Fitness Club with Grand Opening Ceremony
Core Development & Management grew its umbrella of Planet Fitness® clubs with the grand opening of the Sammamish, Washington, location. The new club is CDM’s 89th total Planet Fitness and 20th club in the state of Washington. To celebrate the latest location, CDM held a grand opening celebration for the community of Sammamish.
The event, held in late spring, invited members of the community to come and celebrate the commitment CDM holds to uplifting its local community. In addition to the public, local leaders and the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce attended the event to take part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“Grand opening celebrations have been more intimate in recent years,” said Becky Smukall, SVP of marketing at CDM. “Our goals are to make sure (1) we show up as a member of the community, providing jobs and a place where people can access affordable fitness; (2) celebrate the hard work our team put into building the club; and (3) to celebrate our founding members as helping us support their community.”
CDM also presented a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of King County, an annual gesture from the franchise group.
“We always pair a grand opening with a donation to our local B&GC. It’s a starting point that shows our commitment as a brand to the B&GC, a commitment to this community, and signals we want to be long-term partners with them,” Smukall said.
The club features the complete Black Card Spa® recovery zone experience, including Hydromassage, Red Light Therapy, massage chairs and more. Members can also take advantage of spacious workout areas, a wide selection of cardio equipment, and strength-training options designed to support whatever fitness journey members are striving to achieve.
CDM wants to keep the momentum going as it sets its sights toward its 21st club in Washington with plans to open a location in Puyallup South Hill.
