This year, Planet Fitness^® franchisees throughout the Detroit, Michigan, area teamed up with the Detroit Tigers on a sponsorship agreement that made PF^® the “Official Fitness Partner of the Detroit Tigers.”

“We are really excited to connect with Detroit Tigers fans throughout the baseball season,” said Bryan Rief, franchisee with PF Michigan Group, one of the franchisee groups that developed the agreement. “Our partnership with the Detroit Tigers will heighten awareness for our brand and our mission to bring low-cost access to fitness to everyone.”

The agreement included signage, promotion and plenty of opportunities to interact with fans. As part of the program, on July 8, Planet Fitness sponsored the team’s Strike Out Bullying Day in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan.

“The Tigers honored courageous youth that have stood up to bullying by welcoming them on the field at Comerica Park. All the kids had an opportunity to sign an anti-bullying pledge that was then displayed outside of the stadium,” said Rief. “PF team members were on hand distributing tons of PF-branded goodies at a booth on the concourse. It was a huge success!”
