Summertime is the perfect time for Planet Fitness^® franchisees to take advantage of the warm weather and volunteer at outdoor events. Eclipse Fitness Group took time to soak up the sunshine rays by being the sponsor of the Summer Sun Run 5K in early June in Kennesaw, Georgia. The race included a 1-mile fun run, a Tot Trot and the 5K.

As the sponsor of the race, the brand’s logo was on the banner at the finish line and on the back of the T-shirt that all the participants received at the end of the race. They also had a tent at the event along with the spinning wheel, which race attendees could spin to win PF^®-branded prizes.

The 5K run was a part of the Fit City Kennesaw initiative, in which residents are encouraged to be more active and take part in wellness-related activities. Eclipse Fitness Group has two PF clubs in downtown Kennesaw, with another club opening in the city in the fall. With approximately 150 runners at the race, the event offered a great opportunity to spread awareness of the group’s newest club opening this fall. Additionally, all race winners who placed walked away with tons of PF-branded swag. The franchise group plans on continuing to support the city’s healthy initiative by participating in the race next year.
