Flynn Group had an action-packed day on May 3 for Free Comic Book Day in downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia. The event was held at the Lawrenceville Arts Center and included a full day of comic book-related fun for the local community. Throughout the event, attendees were invited to channel their inner child by wearing their favorite comic book character costume. Attendees were able to immerse themselves in the comic world by learning from experts on topics, including comic creation, game development, cosplay and storytelling.

The Flynn Group had a booth at the event to teach attendees about the benefits of being a Planet Fitness^® member. Five of Flynn’s staff members passed out PF^® swag, including drawstring bags, sunglasses, towels and keychains, as well as superhero and comic book swag for guests to take, such as stickers, coloring books and masks. Those who visited the PF table were able to enter to win a one-year PF Black Card membership. Future potential members were also provided with handouts letting them know to join early for the lowest and best offers. The event had a good turnout, despite the poor weather.

The event served as a great opportunity for the franchisee to gather interest in its new club opening in Lawrenceville in July. This 27,000-square-foot club will be its 34th club in Georgia. The club will include plenty of amenities for members wanting to get superhero strength, including plate-loaded equipment, a TRX station, deadlift platforms, personal workout space, turf area and more. The club’s Black Card Spa will include HydroMassage Lounges, massage chairs, tanning beds and booths, a Recovery Lounge and Total Body Enhancement.
