Flynn Group Feeds the Hungry this Fall

This fall, Flynn Group was busy giving back. In September, 10 of Flynn’s staff members volunteered at My Brother’s Table, a soup kitchen in Lynn, Massachusetts, that provides hot, free meals to those in need. Their team were given the tasks of making turkey and roast beef sandwiches, bagging peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, preparing soup and coffee, and then distributing the food to those in need. Those who volunteered felt a sense of accomplishment and community from their good deeds.

“This was a rewarding experience for our team! Volunteering as a company made us feel like we did something right as a team and influencing even the smallest of changes to people’s lives can make a big difference,” said Mike Leonard, regional manager with Flynn Group.

The same month, 20 of Flynn’s staff members volunteered at the Atlanta Food Bank in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and 10 volunteered at the Atlanta Food Bank in Jonesboro, Georgia. In total, the two groups helped provide approximately 8,000 meals for those in need during their time volunteering.

“Our team had an incredible time making a difference volunteering at the Atlanta Food Bank. Team members from our area locations came together to lend a hand, and the energy was electric as we sorted and packed food for those in need. It was a fulfilling experience that reminded us of the power of community and the joy of giving back,” said Director of Training & Development with Flynn Group Timothy Morrissette.
