Jost ADK Gives Back to Local Community through Denver Rescue Mission

Many families were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and with high prices due to inflation and supply chain issues, the homeless population continues to struggle with the effects. Four years ago, Jost ADK opened a Planet Fitness® location in downtown Denver. After opening, the group witnessed the increase in homelessness in downtown Denver and wanted to give back to the local community.

To lend a helping hand to those in need, Jost ADK has partnered with the Denver Rescue Mission (DRM), an organization that improves the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through rehabilitation, transitional programs, emergency services and community outreach, for the past four years.

Jost ADK hosted a donation drive in February and March with four Denver-area Planet Fitness locations, including three clubs in Lakewood, Colorado, and one club in Littleton. Through the partnership with the local nonprofit, the drive collected nonperishable food items and clothing and distributed the items amongst their various centers to aid locals in need.

For the franchise group, it continues to look for ways to give back to the Denver Rescue Mission all year long. For example, the group donates through its Turkey Drive at Thanksgiving and a sporting clay fundraising event in October. Jost ADK also helps the charity organization by providing water for DRM’s events and holding the donation drives in its clubs. Additionally, Jost ADK’s team members volunteer their time at the DRM by packing boxes for the turkey drive and handing out meals to the homeless.

“Jost ADK and our family are so excited to give back to the DRM. We are so happy that our members have given back to the DRM so generously with this donation drive and many families will benefit from these donations,” said Accounting & Human Resources Department Head Robin Jost.
