Legacy Fitness Holdings Helps Local Boys & Girls Club with Toy Drive

Legacy Fitness Holdings held a toy drive for the fifth year in a row. The toys collected were donated to the franchise group’s local Boys & Girls Club in Mesquite, Texas. Staff members set up donation boxes at all 10 of Legacy Fitness locations, and they were encouraged to tell club members about the donation opportunity.

The donation – 191 toys – was delivered to the BGCA in December by the franchise group’s general managers. Three days later, over 100 children attended a holiday party where the toys were distributed.

“My favorite thing is when we all get together and see how much our teams were able to collect. I also think it’s important as it’s a way our members get to be involved. A lot that do donate mention that they were in BGCA as children,” said GM Mariela Rivas.

The franchise group does several different initiatives with the Boys & Girls Club of Mesquite every year. The organization’s mission is close to Legacy Fitness Holdings’ hearts.

“We have been volunteering at this particular location for several years, so we’ve seen some of the kids grow up and become teenagers. When toys are donated, it’s easy to look and think a particular kid that you know well would love that one,” said Emily Gregory, vice president of franchise operations at Legacy Fitness Holdings.
