National Fitness Partners Clubs Help Families for the Holidays
With the pandemic continuing to impact families and communities, several teams from National Fitness Partners reached out in their areas to demonstrate the spirit of the holidays this year.
One general manager’s decision to adopt a family for the holidays had an exponential effect. It all started with the senior GM at National Fitness Partner’s Aston location, who decided to adopt a family for Christmas. The area director, proud of their GM, shared this act of kindness with fellow area directors, who jumped right in to help.
In the end, this group was able to adopt not one, but five families for the holidays! These families included almost 20 children. The kids were able to send their wish lists to the Planet Fitness® team; these lists included items like clothes, shoes, toys and more! The GMs and the clubs went above and beyond, leading to grateful families receiving lovely gifts for the holidays. “For the 2021 holiday season, it was amazing to be able to adopt five families in need and give them a Christmas they will always remember!” said Katie Tiefel, general manager of the Aston location.
In addition to adopting families for the holidays, NFP had a team that stepped up to assist at the Food Bank of Delaware. Area Director Dominique States, her GMs and AGMs, and others representing five clubs from across Delaware and Pennsylvania gave their time and volunteered. “Getting the opportunity to get all my GMs and AGMs together for a day out of the club was great. We were able to get out of the club and help in our communities during the holiday season,” said States.
It is also important to note that all 107 National Fitness Partners clubs partnered with local food banks and Toys for Tots throughout November and December to collect food donations and toys in the clubs!
