National Fitness Partners has expanded its portfolio recently, bringing affordable fitness to more people across the country. The franchise group acquired 21 Planet Fitness^® locations across three states, including Pennsylvania, Maryland and Illinois. This acquisition brought the group’s portfolio to 198 locations in 14 states. Now, the group has more than 1.5 million members it helps in their fitness journey.

NFP purchased the clubs from Pizzazz Fitness for an undisclosed amount. The transaction included six clubs in metro Philadelphia, 11 clubs in Baltimore and Southern Maryland and four clubs in the metro Chicago and Rockford markets. The acquisition not only boosts NFP’s East Coast presence but also marks the franchise group’s first-time having clubs in Illinois.
