National Fitness Partners Help Build a Stronger Police Force
First responders work hard every day to ensure that their local communities are safe. Without them, crime would likely run rampant. In March, National Fitness Partners showed its support for the local police force by donating several pieces of fitness equipment to the Tega Cay Police Department in Tega Cay, South Carolina, where the group has one Planet Fitness® location.
The donated equipment totaled three pieces of cardio, including an upright bike, rower and arc trainer. The equipment was from NFP’s Fort Mill location, which received a club refresh and re-equip. The pieces of cardio equipment were appreciated by the members of the Tega Cay Police Department and had a positive impact on the department.
“Having Planet Fitness equipment donated by National Fitness Partners has been an important factor for our organization. To be able to maintain fitness standards for the demand and rigor of this profession, while being able to train at the department, has been amazing. There has also been an increase in officer use of the equipment because they are pieces officers are familiar with, so the comfort is already there,” said Sgt. Echtinaw, the wellness coordinator for Tega Cay Police Department.
National Fitness Partners is proud to support the health and wellness of its local first responders.
“Part of our mission at National Fitness Partners is to transform the lives of the people we serve, and we’re proud to support those who dedicate their lives to serve and protect our community. The selfless service of the police department and fellow first responders is monumental to all our lives. Having an opportunity to play a role in their fitness routine and healthy lifestyles is a great honor,” said Ryan Miller, area director at NFP.
