National Fitness Partners Opens New Club in Lansdale, Pennsylvania

Opening a new club is always an exciting occasion, and National Fitness Partners (NFP) has cause for celebration. They recently opened a new location in Lansdale, Pennsylvania! The new facility is 20,907 square feet and includes brand-new massage chairs, a stand-up hybrid tanning bed (for both tanning and red-light therapy), and lots of cardio and strength equipment.

To mark the occasion of the new location, there was a grand-opening event. It involved an array of fun activities, including a free bagel food truck in the morning before the official event, which went from 4-6 p.m. That wasn’t the only free food truck, either – for dinner, there was a pizza truck! And to top off the food, there were prepackaged snacks available throughout the day.

Along with the food, there were raffles for a PF®-branded cruiser bike, a Planet Fitness® swag bag and a one-year Black Card membership; there were free giveaway items while supplies lasted, too. There were games in the parking lot and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with members of the local chamber of commerce.

To promote the event, the group had a press release sent to the local market on behalf of their agency partner. They also had postings on local event calendars as well as a Facebook post and an email for their members. NFP also used digital messaging and direct mail to get the word out about the club opening.

Of course, there are challenges that come along with opening a club during a pandemic. “The biggest challenge in my eyes was staffing,” said Tristan Alderfer, general manager. “We staffed a whole club during a time in which there were very few people applying for jobs. I have been very proud of the team that we put together here, and the members have seemed to respond very well to the customer service we are providing.”

It is great to see a new club get up and running and hear about the fun activities that went along with the grand opening to get the Lansdale club off to a wonderful start.
