PF Michigan Group Celebrates Reopening of Farmington Hills Club
In June, PF Michigan Group reopened its Farmington Hills location after spending about a month on renovations. This completed the second part of a two-phase remodel that began last year in the Black Card ® area. The modernized and upgraded location has new wall coverings, tile walkways and renovated locker rooms. The front desk and break room were also refurbished.
“We wanted this location to be in sync with all of our new locations,” says Art Nichols, director of facilities and construction at PF Michigan Group. “It starts with the recommendation from PFHQ on what needs to be updated, and we add to that the enhancements we are doing in our other new facilities.”
The Farmington Hills club hosted a grand reopening event to showcase the new facility. Several hundred people attended, including club members, friends and members of the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce. The event was co-hosted by popular morning radio host MOJO of iHeart Radio Channel 955, who posed for photos and mingled with guests. Several exciting prizes were raffled during the event, including an Apple Watch, Khalid concert tickets and a one-year Black Card® Membership.
PF Michigan Group kept its tradition of presenting a $1,000 check to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. “We like to use these events to highlight our philanthropic partnership and promote the Boys & Girls Clubs’ dedication to combatting bullying that impacts today’s youth,” said Mary Scott, director of marketing for PF Michigan Group. “It is such a good opportunity to spread our judgement-free philosophy for all generations.”
Sub sandwiches, pizza and special Planet Fitness® cupcakes were served at the reopening. The club offered a special promotion encouraging new customers to join at discounted rates. “Our current members were very anxious for us to reopen, and the feedback on the remodel has been overwhelmingly positive,” Scott said.
