Pinnacle Service Brands Shows Spirit for Local Basketball Teams
Get your head in the game! Pinnacle Service Brands shared its love for fitness by attending several local basketball games. The group’s Starkville team attended the nationally televised NCAA basketball game between the Mississippi State University Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats.
While the two SEC powerhouses battled it out on the basketball court, the Starkville Planet Fitness® team had a booth on the concourse, enabling the team to meet with fans and hand out PF® swag. The team handed out shirts, hats and bottles to fans while letting them know about the club opening in Starkville, Mississippi, in March. The fans loved the free PF merchandise, and the basketball game was a perfect way for Pinnacle Service Brands to promote its Starkville club opening. The franchise group has a partnership with MSU to attend various sports during the year.

Additionally, the franchise group’s Chicago activation team visited six Chicago Bulls games between February and March to promote Planet Fitness to fans. The Chicago team gave away hundreds of free PF gifts via the prize wheel to excited Chicago Bulls fans. There was a lot of PF-branded, in-stadium signage, promoting Planet Fitness all season long. As part of the partnership with the Bulls, the basketball team also posted another round of PF-branded practice photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, furthering PF’s outreach with the local community.
The group also had an NCAA partnership with the Indiana State (ISU) Sycamores. Through the partnership, Pinnacle’s Indiana team completed on-site activations at men’s and women’s basketball games. To help promote their two Terre Haute area clubs, the team set up tables in the concourse and provided ISU fans with plenty of prizes and giveaways during both games. The activation events were a success because ISU officials said these games were among the five highest-attended games in the past 10 years!
“These types of game day activations are an excellent way for us to engage with fans while promoting the Planet Fitness brand,” said Chris Short, former director of communications and external engagement. “Our activation teams have a blast with the crowds, adding to the overall game day experience. Without a doubt, our activation tables have some of the longest lines on the concourse, as fans are always hungry for PF-branded merchandise.”
