Planet Fitness Franchisees Hold Fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Finding out one’s child has cancer has to be one of the worst things a parent can hear. Several Planet Fitness® franchisees stepped in to be a bright light into the lives of many struggling families. National Fitness Partners, along with Taymax Group, TGE3 and Davis-NEOFitness, worked to fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – ALSAC. After the month-long campaign, the groups were able to raise over $36,000 to help children battling cancer, making it a huge success!

June is National Cancer Survivors Month, which made the campaign even more notable. During June, NFP raised money through point-of-sale (POS) donations and a mileage match at each of its clubs. Taymax and the other franchise groups raised money either through a QR code made available in their clubs that linked to the St. Jude donation page, or by encouraging members to donate through their POS. Across the four franchise groups that participated in the campaign, there were over 300 Planet Fitness locations that helped fundraise. All the participating franchise groups worked hard to raise money for such a worthy cause.

“National Fitness Partners is committed to helping the next generation lead healthier lives, and we’re grateful for the support of Taymax, TGE3 and Davis-NEOFitness,” said Stephen Kindler Jr., president and CEO of National Fitness Partners. “St. Jude provides expert medical care for their patients and continues to make research discoveries that will lead to better cancer treatments. We’re proud to support this life-saving work.”

National Fitness Partners plans to do the fundraiser again next year, and it encourages other franchise groups to join them if they are interested in getting involved with such a great cause. Interested groups can reach out to Kelly Walker at [email protected] to learn more.

“National Fitness Partners, their members and their team are wonderful partners in the mission of St. Jude: Finding Cures and Saving Children. The first year of the campaign was so impactful for our patients and families, and we look forward to other franchise groups following the lead of NFP and joining the battle for the kids of St. Jude,” said Kevin O’Brien, a St. Jude representative.
