PLNTF Holdings Helps Member Following Hit-and-Run Accident

Lauren Hooks is a member who rides her bike to the Wrigleyville location of PLNTF Holdings every morning. She always stops at the desk to chat with the staff before starting her workout, and she is always friendly, happy and contagiously energetic. Hooks is one of those members the team gets extra excited to see walk through the door because entire team loves her.

Recently, Hooks was the victim of a hit-and-run incident while riding her bike right in front of the club, and it required a stint in the hospital. Unfortunately, while she was taken away by ambulance, her bike was either stolen or misplaced during the shuffle. The team spoke with her and quickly moved to freeze her membership. Then, the team tracked down a Planet Fitness bike that was unused and in storage to give Hooks to use at home while she began rehabbing from her injuries.

Hooks was touched by the act of kindness from the Wrigleyville team, and it is a perfect example of how PLNTF Holdings teams go above and beyond for their members. The Wrigleyville staff wishes Hooks a quick recovery so she can return to the gym soon.

“The staff at PF Wrigleyville is absolutely amazing. Even at the early hours in the morning when I come to the gym – 5 a.m. some days! – I am always greeted by a friendly welcome,” said Hooks. “They genuinely ask how I am doing. The staff is incredibly kind, caring, genuine and friendly. The gym is maintained very well, and the staff are always staying busy cleaning. And during the COVID-19 crisis, they have been very diligent about social distancing and maintaining that all members wear masks – and wear them correctly, over the nose! I recommend PF 100%!”

Planet Fitness franchises are more than just gyms – they’re families, a concept that is highlighted by the care shown for Hooks following the hit-and-run incident.
