Not only do Planet Fitness^® franchisees care about their members, they care about their furry friends as well. The Taymax Club in Burlington, Ontario, donated cases of paper towels and toilet paper to Burlington Animal Services in January.

The donation will be used to care for sick animals coming into the shelter’s facility. The animal facility stays busy, taking in approximately 300-400 animals per month. These animals range from strays, owner surrenders, returned adoptions and code violations.

Breanne Barth, area director of the Taymax club, said she wanted the company’s donation to be different and stand out from the rest. The donation is the first the group has made to the Animal Services division of the city of Burlington, and the group plans to donate future items as well.

“With so many locations donating their excess sanitizer to local organizations, we wanted to think outside of the box and donate our paper towels and toilet paper to a sector of the city that is not often thought of,” Barth said.
