Taymax Donates Water Bottles to Local High School Athletics Department

Planet Fitness® locations often look for ways to give back to their communities, and there are different ways in which clubs do this. The Planet Fitness in Tifton, Georgia, which is owned by Taymax, has been supporting the athletics department of a local high school by donating water for the athletes.

Miranda Goode, general manager of the Tifton location, assists with coordinating these efforts. She explained that the previous athletic director of Tift County High School (who recently retired) reached out regarding a need for water for athletes. The water was needed for competition time and during traveling. “We were happy to be able to offer this to TCHS Athletics to show our support,” she said. “This has been so great to see, especially around town at the events when the athletes have Planet Fitness-branded water in their hands.”

Indeed, the aim of donating the water bottles was to find a way to allow the club to show support and appreciation for the local school coaches and athletes. Goode pointed out that many faculty, staff and students are members of the Tifton Planet Fitness, which makes the contribution that much more special.

The Tifton Planet Fitness has been donating water to the TCHS Athletics department in fall and spring since July 2019. “We look forward to being able to continue this outreach,” Goode said. “Other Planet Fitness locations in the area have noticed the success we have had with the water donations and have started to reach out and donate to their area high schools and colleges as well.”

Connecting with the community can take many forms, including donating water. The Tifton Planet Fitness plans to continue this donation for as long as they are able to do so.
