Taymax Group Knocks Out Barriers with Fitness Equipment Donation
Growing up can be difficult at times, with bullies at school, impossible homework assignments and peer pressure lurking down school hallways. Fitness can be a great way for kids to relieve stress and anxiety, and building healthy habits early can be a great way to build a healthy routine early.
The Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League works hard to provide workout and boxing facilities for kids in Western Pennsylvania. The organization is focused on preventing juvenile crime and violence by getting kids to work out in a gym, rather than getting into trouble. The organization offers programs and events for kids year-round that promote teamwork and provide opportunities to work with law enforcement officers and caring adult mentors.
In the same way, Planet Fitness® works hard to encourage kids to build healthy habits early with its High School Summer Pass Program every summer. With its similar mission of providing fitness for all ages, Taymax Group wanted to give back to the Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League. The franchise group donated eight pieces of fitness equipment to the organization, including two treadmills, two ellipticals, two recumbent bikes and two upright bikes. Taymax operates 14 clubs in the Pittsburgh area, giving them a strong tie to the kids in the area.
“With humility and gratitude, a big thank you to Team Planet Fitness. A winning partnership was forged between WPAL and Planet Fitness teams that puts service before self, benefiting the youth and all those who put daily effort toward making fitness a process not an event,” said Regis Corso, team member at Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League.
