Police officers have demanding and stressful jobs that take up a lot of time and require them to stay fit. To share its gratitude for the hard work of local first responders, Taymax Group donated gym materials to two local police departments.

In April, Taymax Group partnered with Ecore and Matrix to remodel the Windham, New Hampshire, Police Department with new gym flooring and fitness equipment. The upgrade will allow police officers to have access to a nicer space to work out. The equipment donated included an elliptical, treadmill, rower, dumbbells and racks.  

In May, the franchise group also donated 1,250 square feet of gym flooring to the Pelham Police Department in Pelham, New Hampshire. The flooring was put in their defensive tactic training room to allow officers to safely train in areas such as jujitsu and other defensive tactics. Donating to this local police department is near and dear to the franchise group’s hearts because Taymax CEO Tim Kelleher used to be a police officer with the Pelham Police Department before joining Planet Fitness^®.

“As chief, my officer’s safety and wellness is my No. 1 priority. Taymax just helped make my vision come true by providing flooring for our workout room,” said Pelham Police Chief Anne Perriello.
