Taymax Group Spikes Brand Awareness at Major Volleyball Tournament
Taymax Group participated in the HOPE volleyball tournament on July 15 in Ottawa, Canada, to get involved in the community and increase brand awareness. HOPE stands for “Helping Other People Everywhere” and is known for being the largest single-day volleyball tournament in Canada. The event includes a full day volleyball tournament with multiple divisions, as well as concerts, pop-ups and social activities.
A staple in Ottawa since 1989, the event generates funds for various local charities each year. This year, the event raised money for charities such as Camp Quality of Eastern Ontario, Dress for Success Ottawa, Education Foundation of Ottawa, Make-A-Wish Canada and the Waupoos Foundation.
At the event, Taymax had a booth set up, and staff members handed out day passes with an exclusive join offer. They also handed out PF® swag, such as stickers, pens, wristbands and water bottles. There were six staff members from Taymax who volunteered their time to help bring awareness to the benefits of a Planet Fitness® membership. The franchise group was able to share the benefits of a PF membership with almost 30,000 people in attendance.
“The HOPE tournament in Ottawa was a complete success! We built brand awareness in the city and had a blast interacting with members of the community. We were also able to connect with people from outside of town, as well as with PF employees from other locations that we don’t often see. We had fun while being part of a great initiative for different charities,” said Sheila Berroa De Pena, general manager at Merivale.
