Planet Fitness^® clubs enjoy giving back to their communities and supporting good causes. Whenever there is an opportunity to do good in their community, Planet Fitness always wants to act on it. Sometimes that comes in the form of donating funds, but other times it comes in the form of donating fitness equipment to organizations that could benefit from it.

Taymax Group’s Jacksonville (Beach Boulevard), Florida, club recently donated fitness equipment to the City of Jacksonville Police Department to help them bolster their gym for their officers and give them more options for exercise and working out.

The decision to donate the equipment began when the club got the news that there would be a reequip in their location. They quickly started brainstorming where they could donate some of the used strength equipment and reached out to the Jacksonville Police Department to offer them an array of different items to enhance their workouts. The station didn’t hesitate to take the Planet Fitness location up on the offer. The club was able to donate a beauty bell set, an EZ curl barbell set and rack, dumbbells ranging from 5 to 75 pounds and free weights ranging from 2.5 to 45 pounds.

These weights will undoubtedly be put to good use by officers at the police department, which expressed thanks for the donation in a Facebook post.
