TG3 Enterprises Supports Spaghetti Fundraiser for Team Member’s Family

In October, TG3 Enterprises stepped up to support one of their team members, who has a family member in need.

The family of Ryan Mikolaj, district manager for TG3E, hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Mikolaj’s cousin, Philip, who is only 4 years old and fighting leukemia. This is his second battle with cancer. Philip already fought hepatoblastoma, which is a rare liver cancer, and was cancer-free in the spring of 2019. However, the treatment that he went through for the first cancer caused the second when a white blood cell mutation led to leukemia.

Philip’s family came together to organize a spaghetti dinner fundraiser to raise money for the costs associated with his medical care. The event involved a drive-by dinner (due to COVID-19 precautions) and an auction. According to Mikolaj, “The event was a complete success! My cousin Cassandra and I were the ones who organized it with the help of the Knights of Columbus, and we only had four weeks to do so.” But despite the tight deadline, there was still a large outpouring of support from the community.

This was the second event that the community rallied around in support of Philip; the first fundraiser was held when he was fighting hepatoblastoma. “This benefit was more difficult than the last, as COVID restrictions were in place,” Mikolaj explained. “However, it didn’t stop the amazing Youngstown, Ohio community from coming together. We sold over 500 spaghetti dinners and had over 170 baskets in the silent auction.”

TG3 Enterprises donated a set of Planet Fitness® cornhole boards, a Classic membership and a Black Card membership to the auction. These donations were a success and Mikolaj expressed his appreciation: “On behalf of my family, we are truly grateful for the generous donations and continued support from TG3 Enterprises.”
