TG3E Participates in Food Drive to Support Local Communities
Food banks need support and donations as many families have experienced financial strain due to the pandemic. TG3E went all-out this past holiday season to help local food banks. All 52 clubs across seven states ran donation drives from Nov. 1-23.
TG3E’s annual food drive began in a few locations because the franchise group wanted to give back to the community, but in the past few years, the food drive expanded to include all clubs. “We do an annual food drive where clubs get to donate to a local food pantry or charity of their choice,” explained Taylor Fitton, marketing manager for TG3E. “To make it fun, we have a bin decorating contest where each club decorates their food bin, and then every manager votes on their top three favorites, who all receive prizes.”
Fitton explained that most clubs donated the food to a local food pantry, Salvation Army or Boys & Girls Club if there was a location nearby. “I think it made it more impactful and meaningful to the managers because they got to choose where they would donate the food,” she said.
In the end, TG3E was able to donate a whopping 10,860 pounds of food!
“I can’t begin to explain how dedicated and passionate our team is about giving back to the community,” Fitton said. “Any time there is an opportunity to help the local communities, our team goes above and beyond.”
